90 Pts - John Schreiner. Light and Luscious. Gentle picks with our grapes so that they are not crushed until they get into our crusher destemmer. Great description of our wines below.

Latest review: Kurtis Kolt, April 27, 2021

‘What to exepct from the personality-driven, unorthodox blend of Viognier, Albarino, Madeleine Sylvaner, Siegerrebe and Ortega? A lot! The Viognier races out first, all lush with honey-drizzled peaches, then the Albarino livens things up with fresh-squeezed lime while the Madeleine Sylvaner slices a little Honeycrisp apple into things. Siegerrebe is there to bring the tropical vibes of lychee and young pineapple, rounded out with Ortega’s, well, ‘grapiness’. Is quite ripe and juicy, and I’m suddenly hankering for a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich.’

What to expect from this personality-driven, unorthodox blend...A lot!
— Kurtis Kolt

This review was from our 2018 vintage but Kurtis does such a good job describing this wine. This year’s vintage has just 2 g/l of residual sugar because this heat year brought out so much intense flavours that it didn’t need much to balance the wine. Blends are a great way to create personality wines and showcase the vineyards. We have many varietals and making a blend is a science. It’s brings out complexity of each varietal at it’s best. This is luscious and reminds us of the texture of a riesling wine. This is our summer sipper even in the colder months. It just reminds us of happiness and sunshine.

90 Pts - understandably, it is hard to nail down descriptors for all of the tropical and orchard fruits in the aroma and honeyed flavours
